Why Commercial Grade Displays?
Commercial displays are built for long hours, public spaces and bright environments – here’s how they differ from a domestic TV.
Built for the job, not the living room
A domestic TV is designed for a few hours of viewing a day in a living room. Commercial displays are built to run for long hours in shops, receptions, schools and outdoors, and to be managed remotely. Many consumer TV warranties also exclude commercial use.

Choosing the right brightness
| Where the screen goes | Typical brightness | Example ranges |
|---|---|---|
| Offices, receptions, indoor retail | 350–500 cd/m² | Slimline Pro, Professional Monitors |
| Bright indoor spaces | 700–800 cd/m² | Vibrant Professional, Superslim Double-Sided |
| Shop windows in direct sun | 2,500–3,500 cd/m² | Ultra High Brightness Window |
| Outdoors, permanent | 2,000–3,500 cd/m² | Outdoor Wall-Mounted, 4K Elite |
| Outdoors, portable | 700–1,500 cd/m² | Battery A-Boards |
Other things to consider
- Blackening resistance – window displays in direct sun need panels rated to resist blackening at high temperatures (ours are rated up to 110°C).
- Weather and vandal protection – outdoor screens need sealed IP-rated enclosures, toughened glass and temperature control.
- Anti-glare – a haze coating cuts reflections under bright lighting.
